The 'C' instead of 'Sh' substitution is pure genius! It's amazing how a simple shift in language can transform our perspective. It reminds me of the power of positive self-talk and how the words we use to frame our thoughts can either empower or limit us. I'm going to try this 'C' swap and see how it affects my own self-talk. Perhaps we could even extend this to other 'sh' words – shall we replace 'shame' with 'claim' and 'shut down' with 'cut loose'?
Thank you for this! Just like you I’ve been writing since I was 7 and yet there’s still a voice in my head saying I « should » take 10 classes to learn how to write… I AM a writer, I already am a writer ♥️
I've never been a fan of the word should. It reeks of guilt-tripping. My mom used to tell me that guilt is a useless emotion.
I love the shift to could instead.
Your mom is right, guilt is a useless emotion.
It's been a while, but I have heard of the "could" substitution before. I needed that reminder!
I love the way you described how the "Sh" and "C" letters sound and change the meaning, the vibration.
I'm happy to remind you Sam!
You’re the best!
